About Englewood Housing Authority

The Englewood Housing Authority was established in 1972 by resolution of the Englewood City Council. It is governed by a five-member board appointed by the Mayor to serve five-year terms. The Authority was designed with the powers to develop, manage and maintain dwelling units for the occupancy and benefit of low to moderate income persons residing or intending to reside in the City of Englewood.

The Englewood Housing Authority offers several housing programs that enable lower-income residents of any community to rent affordable, safe and sanitary housing. The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provides the Englewood Housing Authority with federal funds to administer these programs in their areas.

The Englewood Housing Authority's mission is to assist lower-income families in a non-discriminating manner, with safe, decent and affordable housing opportunities as they strive to achieve self-sufficiency and improve the quality of their lives.
